Marie M. Currie
Born in November 1959, Marie and her identical twin sister Cherie grew up in Los Angeles CA in the middle of a booming entertainment industry. With ample opportunity and the talent to match she experienced the music industry as a recording artist for Capitol Record. Her career has spanned the gamut from producer, to actor, sculptor, and poet, but her most important accomplishment has been as a mother. And now the time has come to add “published author” to the list.
Marie has been portrayed on screen by Elvis Presley’s granddaughter, Riley Keough, in the 2010 movie ‘The Runaways’ based on her sister Cherie Currie’s book ‘Neon Angel’.
This book was inspired by a poem she wrote many years ago entitled ‘Into the Light’, a poem Dale Evans used in a published eulogy of her late husband, the legendary Roy Rogers.
Today, Marie leads a quiet life spending time with her children, restoring old treasures and building divinely inspired crosses, a passion she can’t get enough of. Her hand made crosses are available for purchase at http://www.etsy.com/shop/MarieCurrieCreations.
